Grey Ghost Hunting NJ

The winter in New Jersey brings a special breed of Raptors down from the north. These fantastic birds are the Northern Harriers. Female Harriers are most commonly seen, but once in a while if your lucky enough you will witness the Male Harrier AKA the “Grey Ghost”. A lifetime bird for sure they are super hard to find and even more of a feat to expose and get a crisp clean shot of. We are lucky that we get a few of these guys in NJ for a brief time at the early part of the winter. Then it seems they go into ghost mode and you will rarely see them.
